As part of the community reallocation the councils of Nieuwkoop, Liemeer and Ter Aar have become one renewed organisation as of January 1, 2007. Organisation wise as well as policy wise, the communities were joined into one. In this process the Nieuwkoop council has chosen to renew its 'House Style'. The new council has given RGN the assignment to look after the implementation of its new corporate identity.
The new logo now used by the Nieuwkoop council consists of a flower with a blue wave-shaped stem. The blue wave indicates the watery area. The 13 green leaves symbolise the 13 centres from the new council’s Green Heart area. In designing the logo we kept in mind that the council's name could change as a result of future decisions. The design leaves the opportunity to link a different name to the logo.

The new council has been existing since January 1. RGN and the new Nieuwkoop council look back on a successful project.
