For over 20 years, we’ve a successful partnership with FrieslandCampina. In September 2022, they approached us with a new challenge for one of their brands: Chocomel. The task was to transform one of their standard FrieslandCampina-branded tank trailers into a moving Chocomel can. After all, when you compare a tank trailer to a can, their shapes are surprisingly similar – the perfect opportunity to bring Chocomel’s recognizable branding to the road in an eye-catching way. What started with a request for one quickly grew into a project to convert 25 tank trailers.
The challenges
At first glance, wrapping a tank trailer in a different corporate identity may not seem too complex. But in reality, there’s a lot more to it. From translating concept designs into flawless execution, down to the last technical detail, to coordinating a tight schedule with all involved stakeholders, we managed the entire project from start to finish.
Every inch of the tank trailer, including hard-to-reach corners and even the top, had to be wrapped and finished precisely according to the design. After all, not everyone views a truck from the side, people in high-rise offices, for instance, also see the top.
From one to 25 moving cans
After the design was approved, we received the green light to roll out one tank trailer. This was presented at FrieslandCampina’s Christmas dinner. The enthusiastic reactions resulted in approximately 25 tank trailers being rolled out. These can now be spotted on the road- like real, moving Chocomel cans!
Our approach
We took case of the entire project management. This included everything from fine-tuning the concept designs and scheduling appointments with transporters to quickly adapting when a vehicle deviated from the standard and adjustments were needed. Ordering the vinyl wraps, coordinating with external installers, and delivering the tank trailers on schedule: we ensured the entire process ran smoothly. This allowed FrieslandCampina to focus on their work while we took care of the logistics.
