Action is a leading European non-food discounter with over 2,500 stores across eleven countries. With millions of customers every week, brand recognition plays a vital role. The vehicle fleet is a key brand asset: every truck acts as a moving billboard and a visible extension of the brand identity.
When Action decided to roll out a refreshed identity across its European fleet, their goal was clear: rebrand 750 vehicles, which are spread over 10 countries, within a tight four-month window, without disrupting daily logistics. A complex operation that required precise planning, scalability, and speed.

The challenges
For major organizations like Action, every truck taken out of service can create operational disruption. That’s why this project wasn’t just extensive, it came with critical logistical challenges. Key considerations included:
- Varying weather and climate conditions across countries
- Limited vehicle availability within logistics schedules
- Limited available of local technicians
- A strong focus on minimizing vehicle downtime
These made scalability, flexibility and local deployment critical to success.
Our approach: scalable, smart and local
We took full control of the project. With our central project team leading the process and our Local Heroes executing in each country, we ensured a smooth delivery. Our approach in short:
- Central project management: one point of contact, tight planning, real-time progress monitoring
- Local Heroes: trusted local technicians with on-the-ground expertise
- Mobile work stations: flexible tent setups deployed from the Netherlands
- Efficient site planning: two technicians worked on 2 to 4 trailers per day, depending on vehicle type and local conditions.
This resulted in a seamless operation with full oversight: we knew exactly where each vehicle was, who was working on it, and when it would be road-ready again.

The result
Within four months, Actions’ entire European fleet was rebranded, with zero operational disruption. Thanks to the strong collaboration with Action, signing partner Bergslot, and our team, every vehicle was delivered on time and to spec. The effort was recognized and appreciated by all stakeholders.
